Recently the Motor Insurers Bureau reported estimates that 13% of drivers in the London area were driving without insurance making it the most prevalent region for this activity in the country.
Merseyside, Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire made up the rest of the top four regions.
The MIB (who compensate drivers involved in accidents with uninsured drivers) released these figures in their lastest campaign against uninsured drivers to ultimately bring down the costs of motoring in the UK.

If you’ve got any long journeys or are holidaying around the UK any time soon, then why not fill up at Total Garages across the UK and get yourself some free breakdown cover.
If your purchase over 30 litres of fuel, in one go, then you get 14 days of free breakdown cover for your car, or purchasing only 10 litres of fuel will get your motorcycle covered. To receive your free breakdown cover, on filling up with the correct amount of fuel, you will receive an activation card on which is a phone number to which you need to text your registration number.
They will then confirm their registration and membership policy number back to your mobile phone. The free breakdown cover includes home recovery and is available on all vehicles up to three and a half tonnes.
If After the 14 days of free cover, simply top up with another 30 litres of more to extend the breakdown cover for another two weeks.
