July 14th, 2009

Recent improvements in Stirling have lead to decreased fuel prices across much of Europe resulting in Europe driving holidays being much more appealing.

With diesel on average being as much as a third cheaper in some places, and unleaded falling on average by 12% according to the Post Office Travel Report based on 12 European countries, motorists can save significantly on this usual significant expense.

Some of their key findings included:

- Diesel costs less in all countries surveyed except the UK
- Austria had the cheapest diesel fuel
- Unleaded petrol was best value in Switzerland (Austria & Spain were 2 & 3)
- Diesel came in highest in Norway then came the UK and Italy
